ABOUT

Drive Sports Philanthropy exists to help professional athletes turn influence into lasting impact.

Founded by Vincent Kirkwood, Drive Sports Philanthropy partners with professional athletes to build intentional, authentic philanthropic strategies that reflect who they are, what they value, and the communities they care most about. The firm was created on the belief that philanthropy should be more than transactional—it should be purposeful, strategic, and deeply aligned with an athlete’s identity and platform.

At its core, Drive Sports Philanthropy is grounded in the understanding that professional athletes—both men and women—hold a rare position in society. Their voices shape culture, inspire communities, and influence donor behavior in powerful ways. When guided by clarity and long-term vision, athlete-led philanthropy can drive meaningful, measurable social change.

Drive Sports Philanthropy helps athletes move beyond one-time giving toward sustainable, impact-driven initiatives. By aligning philanthropic goals with community-focused causes—including health equity, disaster relief, emergency response, and social wellbeing—Drive ensures that athlete-led efforts are credible, trusted, and built to last.

Vincent brings more than a decade of experience working at the intersection of sports, philanthropy, and community impact. Prior to launching Drive Sports Philanthropy, he worked alongside professional teams, leagues, and nonprofit partners to raise philanthropic dollars and align giving strategies with both organizational missions and community needs. His work is further informed by academic research focused on the motivations behind philanthropic giving and the influence of athlete endorsements on donor behavior, providing an evidence-based foundation for Drive’s approach.

At Drive Sports Philanthropy, the mission is clear: help athletes lead with purpose, give with intention, and create impact that extends far beyond the game.
